Our diagnosis

Two weeks ago we met with a Dr. Harrison: Behavioral Therapist-- and took four tests on Aspergers. L scored in range on every one. His refusal to change clothing is a classic sign and one I am learning to deal with. Undress him while sleeping, wash and dry, place within his sight when he wakes. Still a fuss but managable.

This diagnosis was expected. Lachlann looks like an Aspergers child and the therapist knew right away. So where do I start?

Nathaniels Hope was a good sight and I still need to spend more time on it.

Yesterday was the second Behavioral therapist appointment and while L played, I felt that it was me in therapy--how to handle him so I am being trained! She would also like the copy of my links wehn I am done and I have just begun. Yesterday was definitely long and very taxing. Since my computer is having a second screen replaced, I am using the only working kid's computer and praying it holds out. I have just restored and defragmented but the tower really needs to be replaced, or maybe just the harddrive but I am done with computer building. I digress. The state of the equiptment I am working on is a definite concern when one wansts to surf, research and blog.

Well, I got a photo of his outfit --red and blue striped shirt, plaid short sleeve over that and another kind of plaid for shortis in blue and orange. FABULOUS. It is all about the feel of clothing to him so althouhg he has plenty of clothes, he likes the most worn out since they are soft. Tags and stiff seams are out.

Oh dear, I just realized his first speech therapy is in one hour. I will finish this latter.
